Diesel Mechanic A

*10 Roads Express* is hiring a Diesel Mechanic A to join our team in Anchorage, AK!

Starting pay: *$45.00 per hour*, overtime eligible.

The *Diesel Mechanic A* is a skilled and experienced diesel technician responsible for diagnosing and repairing a variety of issues pertaining to the wiring, emissions, and/or engines of our late model diesel trucks.

*Shift Schedule:* Sunday - Thursday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

*Benefits:*
* Competitive pay: $45.00 Per Hour + Overtime (after 40 hours). _(Based on Experience)_

*Responsibilities:*
* Engine, emissions, and wiring diagnostics on late model Volvo, Mack, International and Kenworth class 8 tractors.
* Injectors, gear jobs, cam shafts, etc.
* Training and guiding less experienced technicians.
* Perform A, B, C services, or DOT inspections as needed.
* Complete required paperwork and enter data into maintenance databases.
* Perform assigned tasks in compliance with company policies and procedures.

*Qualifications:*
* 2+ years’ working experience on heavy-duty tractors and trailers.
* Advanced knowledge of Diesel engines, ABS, emissions, wiring, air brakes, exhaust, electrical, tires, etc.
* Proficient in basic computer skills.
* Must have adequate tools to perform tasks required.
* Ability to perform physical requirements of the position (lifting 100+ lbs., bending, climbing, standing for duration of shift, etc.).
* Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check test.
* Effectively read, write, and understand verbal instructions in English.
* Class A CDL preferred.
* High School Diploma/GED, Trade, or Vocational Training preferred.
