*Position Summary*

We are seeking a hands-on, highly collaborative Senior or Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our new Orlando, FL office. This role is ideal for someone with a background in themed entertainment and other complex mechanical systems who can communicate effectively with our Minneapolis engineering team to deliver high-profile projects from concept to commissioning.

*Key Responsibilities*

* Lead the design of mechanical systems including actuators, gearing, weldments, wheel assemblies, bearings, hydraulics, and motion mechanisms.
* Coordinate daily with our Minneapolis team to ensure technical alignment and efficient project execution.
* Manage project deliverables, schedules, and budgets.
* Perform engineering calculations, FEA analysis, and design reviews.
* Work with contractors, suppliers, and clients to resolve technical challenges.
* Oversee fabrication and integration, ensuring engineering intent is met.
* Support field installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

*Qualifications*

*Required*

* B.S. in Mechanical, Structural, or Aerospace Engineering (ABET-accredited).
* 5+ years of experience in complex mechanical system design.
* Experience in themed entertainment, amusement, or large-scale moving structures.
* Strong collaboration and communication skills.
* Proficiency in SolidWorks and FEA tools.
* Knowledge of relevant standards (ASTM F2291, AISC, AWS).
* U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status.
* Ability to travel up to 20%.

*Preferred*

* M.S. in Mechanical, Structural, or Aerospace Engineering.
* Florida P.E. license.
* Hands-on fabrication or commissioning experience.
* Experience integrating mechanical and control systems.
