Part Time Yard Instructor / CDL Required

*TMC Transportation *has an immediate *part-time *opening for a *Yard Instructor* working out of our training yard *in Ankeny, IA.*

* _*Class A CDL REQUIRED - must be able to pass MVR, background and Clearinghouse*_
* *2 Years Experience *

*PRIMARY FUNCTION:*

The primary function of a Yard Instructor is to instruct, evaluate, and prepare new trainees for over-the-road truck driving.

*DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*

* Conduct instruction and hands-on training related to all aspects of commercial over-the-road truck driving that trainees are required to master before being released into their own tractor-trailer unit
* Constructively evaluate trainees and give feedback
* Maintain and uphold the TMC Transportation values

*MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:*

* Ability to communicate and interact with trainees in a learning environment.
* *Must hold and maintain a valid Class “A” Commercial Drivers License (CDL).*
* Excellent driving record.
* *Prior driving experience REQUIRED.*
* Experience backing and operating a tractor-trailer unit in town and confined spaces.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour
