Hudd Transportation is seeking CDL-A Owner Operators for Houston Port & Regional Freight

Up to $260K Annual Earning Potential

HUDD Transportation is looking for experienced CDL-A owner operators for steady Houston port and regional freight. Run primarily drop-and-pick freight, get dispatched ahead of time, and get home daily while working with a team focused on keeping you moving.

What You Can Expect

  • About $3,500 gross per week for a standard driver taking freight as dispatched
  • Home daily
  • 95% drop & pick freight
  • Pre-dispatched the day before
  • Freight visible in the dispatch app
  • Remote dispatch for most freight
  • Operations designed to reduce unnecessary empty/bobtail miles
  • ELD cost covered for the regional fleet
  • Lower-cost insurance option available under the MSK umbrella
  • Driver-focused support

The Work

You’ll primarily handle Houston port and regional freight, including:

  • Port of Houston
  • Greater Houston local freight
  • I-10 corridor
  • East Houston
  • North Houston
  • South Houston
  • Regional freight

The most common freight is local Houston port work and regional runs, with volume varying based on distance, lane, and driver availability.

Freight Advantage

95% drop & pick means less time waiting on live loads and more time keeping the truck moving. HUDD’s operations are also structured to help reduce unnecessary empty miles and keep drivers productive.

Ready to Run?

If you’re an experienced CDL-A owner operator looking for steady Houston port work, high drop-and-pick volume, reliable earning potential, and home-daily opportunities, apply today.

In addition to the job benefits mentioned above, there are several other advantages to truck driving jobs in Houston. Texas offers its truck drivers more than most other states. With three of the most populous US cities and its deep-water ports, the variety of freight shipped is unlimited. Texas is one of only four US states boarding Mexico, therefore Texas truck drivers benefit from the fact that Texas dominates the US Mexico border crossings and 85% of the trade between Texas and Mexico is handled by trucks. Texas’ central US geographic location allow truck drivers to reach almost any other part of the US within a short time from its borders.
