Mechanical Engineer

*Mechanical Engineer (5+ Years Experience) – Houston, TX*

*Position Summary*
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join our growing engineering team in Houston, Texas. This role will be responsible for the design and coordination of mechanical building systems for a variety of commercial, healthcare, educational, industrial, and institutional projects. The ideal candidate will have experience designing HVAC and plumbing systems and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.

*Responsibilities*

* Design HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems for new construction and renovation projects.
* Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and system selection.
* Prepare engineering calculations, specifications, reports, and construction documents.
* Develop plans and models using Revit and AutoCAD.
* Coordinate with architects, owners, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
* Review shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and construction documents.
* Conduct field investigations and site visits as needed.
* Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
* Assist with project management responsibilities, including schedules and deliverables.
* Mentor junior engineers and designers.

*Qualifications*

* Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
* 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience within the A/E consulting industry.
* Experience designing HVAC and plumbing systems for building projects.
* Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
* Knowledge of applicable building codes, ASHRAE standards, and industry best practices.
* Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
* EIT certification preferred; PE license is a plus
