*Mechanical Engineer (5+ Years Experience) – Austin, TX*
*Position Summary*
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join our growing engineering team in Austin, Texas. This role will be responsible for the design, coordination, and execution of mechanical systems for a variety of commercial, institutional, healthcare, educational, and mixed-use projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with HVAC and plumbing system design, strong technical skills, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams.
*Responsibilities*
* Design HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical building systems for commercial and institutional projects.
* Prepare engineering calculations, system layouts, specifications, and construction documents.
* Utilize Revit and AutoCAD to develop mechanical design drawings.
* Coordinate with architects, electrical engineers, structural engineers, and other project stakeholders.
* Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and energy code compliance reviews.
* Attend client meetings, site visits, and project coordination meetings.
* Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals during construction.
* Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
* Assist with mentoring junior engineers and designers.
*Qualifications*
* Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
* 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in the A/E consulting industry.
* Experience designing HVAC and plumbing systems for building projects.
* Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
* Knowledge of applicable building codes, energy codes, and industry standards.
* Strong communication and organizational skills.
* EIT or PE license preferred but not required
