Position Summary

Hotline Freight is seeking a safe, reliable, and professional *Class A CDL Line Haul Driver* to transport freight between terminals and customer locations during overnight hours. The ideal candidate is committed to safety, on-time deliveries, and providing excellent service while maintaining compliance with all DOT regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Operate a Class A commercial vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.
* Transport freight between terminals and designated destinations according to scheduled linehaul routes.
* Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of equipment.
* Ensure freight is properly secured and handled to prevent damage.
* Complete and maintain all required logs, inspection reports, and shipping documentation.
* Adhere to all DOT, FMCSA, company safety policies, and traffic laws.
* Report vehicle maintenance issues, accidents, or delays promptly.
* Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations personnel.
* Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude when interacting with customers and team members.

Qualifications

* Valid Class A CDL.
* Acceptable driving record and ability to meet DOT requirements.
* Current DOT medical card.
* Minimum age of 24 years.
* Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
* Previous linehaul or LTL experience preferred.
* Ability to work independently and safely during overnight hours.

Physical Requirements

* Frequently enter and exit tractor.
* Ability to lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
* Ability to sit and drive for extended periods.
* Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
